Day Trip- Birds of Prey

Monday- Today was our first day of full classes! We had chapel (Adam led worship) then History, Intercultural Communication, then isiZulu. We were busy from 8am to 8.15pm!! (THEY ARE KEEPING US SOOO BUSY!)
There's not much to report about the classes but I wanted to rewind and talk about our day trip around Pietermaritzburg we had on Saturday. We went to this old train platform that Mahatma Gandhi got kicked off the train from for being Indian. After that he decided to go back to India and rescue his country.
After the train platform we went to this really cool "Birds of Prey" conservation place and got to see a bird show show! They had eagles, hawks, vultures, owls and a bunch of other really neat birds. My favorite were the cute little baby owls but Adam's favorite bird was this hideous story bird with a name that meant "ugly misshapen old man" It literally looked like an ugly misshapen old man. The pictures turned out really well too!

These were mustachioed owls

These owls had heart faces and nested on the ground

This owl reminded Adam and I of Queen Latifah
